Dayspring – one of the many many names of Jesus used in the Bible. It’s one that has always brought an encouraging scripture to mind. 

Lamentations 3:23 “Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.”
When you watch the sun rise, the very first light that peaks over the horizon is the dayspring. 
My heart jumps for joy that everyday is full of all things new. There is strength that is renewed, patience renewed, forgiveness renewed, grace renewed. God’s mercies are new everyday. We have a fresh start every morning. I need a “day 1” often. A day to try again to tackle what I have fallen short on the day before. A fresh start to reset. Be challenged to embrace every morning as a new day full of fresh starts and clean slates. When we forget that God’s mercies are constantly new, may each dawn remind us of the hope we have in Christ.
